Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument preparation, suction, and patient positioning
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision
- Perform infection control protocols and sterilize instruments
- Manage patient scheduling and maintain accurate digital records
- Prepare treatment rooms and stock supplies efficiently
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education
- Assist in administrative tasks including billing and insurance verification
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or DANB certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of chairside dental assisting experience
- Proficiency with digital radiography and practice management software
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols (OSHA/CDC)
- Excellent communication skills and patient rapport abilities
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Valid CPR certification
- Arizona state dental assisting license (if applicable)
