Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during examinations, procedures, and surgeries with precision and confidence.
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (Radiographs) accurately, adhering to safety protocols.
- Manage patient records, update charts, and verify insurance information efficiently.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care instructions.
- Maintain strict infection control standards (OSHA guidelines) at all times.
- Coordinate with front desk staff to ensure smooth patient flow and scheduling.
Qualifications:
- Current Dental Assistant Certification (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license preferred.
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting program.
- CPR and BLS certification (American Heart Association) required.
- Proficient in using dental software systems (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient comfort.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work effectively in a fast-paced setting.
