Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for dental procedures and assist dentists during treatments
- Take dental X-rays and maintain accurate patient records
- Sterilize instruments and maintain operatory hygiene standards
- Manage inventory and order dental supplies
- Provide chairside assistance for complex procedures
- Deliver post-operative instructions to patients
- Coordinate with front desk for seamless patient flow
Qualifications
- Dental Assisting Diploma or Associate's Degree required
- Current DANB certification or Massachusetts state license
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in a busy practice
- Proficiency in digital imaging (X-rays, intraoral cameras)
- Strong knowledge of sterilization protocols (OSHA/CDC)
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
