Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument preparation, suctioning, and patient monitoring
- Take and develop diagnostic dental X-rays using digital radiography systems
- Perform sterilization and infection control protocols per OSHA standards
- Manage patient flow, including scheduling and chairside coordination
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures
- Deliver patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Maintain accurate digital dental records and inventory management
Qualifications
- Current Ohio Dental Assistant certification or DANB certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with digital radiography (X-rays) and dental software
- CPR certification and knowledge of emergency protocols
- Strong communication skills with ability to comfort anxious patients
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational abilities
- Valid Ohio driver's license and reliable transportation
