Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for dental procedures
- Assist dentists during exams and complex treatments including four-handed dentistry
- Take and develop diagnostic dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilization processes
- Administer local anesthetics and monitor patient vital signs
- Maintain accurate digital patient records and treatment documentation
- Coordinate patient scheduling and chairside efficiency
- Provide post-procedure instructions and emergency care support
Qualifications
- Current Ohio Dental Assistant Radiology Certification (DANB/RDA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft/Dentrix practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and dental board regulations
- Exceptional chairside assistance and infection control skills
- Excellent interpersonal communication with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask efficiently in fast-paced environments
