Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist chairside during examinations, procedures, and surgeries.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following strict infection control protocols.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) and intraoral photographs.
- Manage patient records, update dental charts, and handle insurance verification.
- Greet patients, verify their information, and explain treatment plans clearly.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the treatment rooms and operatory.
- Order dental supplies and manage inventory levels as needed.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license in California.
- CPR and BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry or specialty practice.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control standards.
- Excellent communication skills with a patient-first approach.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform fine motor tasks with precision.
- Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix) is a plus.
