Responsibilities
- Prepare and sterilize instruments according to strict infection control protocols.
- Assist the dentist chairside during procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Take and develop digital X-rays and perform other diagnostic imaging duties accurately.
- Greet and check-in patients, updating their medical history and insurance information in our practice management system.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-procedure care, and preventative treatments.
- Manage office operations, including scheduling appointments, answering phone inquiries, and managing patient flow.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment to ensure patient safety.
Qualifications
- Certification: DANB Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) preferred, or valid NJ Dental Assistant license.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting.
- Skills: Proficient in 4-handed dentistry and modern dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-first attitude.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift patients or equipment when necessary, and operate dental equipment safely.
