Responsibilities
- Assist the lead dentist and hygienists during examinations, treatments, and surgeries, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare treatment rooms with instruments, materials, and medications prior to procedures.
- Take and develop dental X-rays and intraoral photographs using digital sensors.
- Maintain strict adherence to sterilization and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment.
- Manage patient records, update charts, and ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Provide post-operative instructions and educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques.
- Order and manage dental supplies and inventory.
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) preferred.
- Current, active Nevada State Dental Assistant License.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry or specialty practice.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, materials, and modern dental technology.
- Excellent communication skills with a patient-first attitude and ability to multitask.
