Responsibilities
- Chairside Assisting: Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments with precision and efficiency.
- Patient Care: Greet patients, prepare them for procedures, and ensure their comfort throughout the visit.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, treatment plans, and medical histories.
- Radiography: Take and develop high-quality dental X-rays (Xeroxing) as required by state regulations.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to OSHA and CDC guidelines for sterilization and sanitation of instruments and operatory rooms.
- Lab Work: Assist with fabrication of temporary crowns and other dental impressions when necessary.
- Front Desk Support: Manage appointment scheduling and patient communication as needed.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license in California.
- Education: Graduation from an accredited Dental Assisting program.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry practice.
- CPR Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Skills: Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is highly preferred.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a friendly demeanor.
- Availability: Ability to work full-time hours, including occasional flexibility for evening or weekend shifts.
