Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for dental examinations and treatments, ensuring comfort and privacy.
- Assist the dentist chairside during procedures, handing instruments and maintaining a sterile field.
- Take and develop digital X-rays (Radiographs) and other diagnostic images accurately.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and sterilization standards.
- Manage front desk reception duties, including patient scheduling, check-ins, and insurance verification.
- Provide post-operative instructions and oral hygiene education to patients.
- Order and maintain dental supplies and inventory.
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) in the state of Texas.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry practice.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient comfort.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality care.
