Responsibilities
- Chairside assistance during dental procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following OSHA guidelines
- Take and develop dental radiographs with digital imaging technology
- Manage patient charts, digital records, and appointment scheduling
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education
- Assist with infection control protocols and maintain operatory sterility
- Coordinate lab cases and manage inventory of dental supplies
Qualifications
- Current Missouri Dental Assistant certification or DANB certification
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a general dental practice
- Proficiency in digital radiography (X-ray) and dental software
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
