Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, extractions, and restorative work
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following OSHA protocols
- Manage patient flow, scheduling, and recall systems efficiently
- Provide chairside assistance and patient education on oral hygiene
- Maintain accurate digital patient records and inventory management
- Assist in infection control protocols and emergency procedures
Qualifications
- Active RDA license or Dental Assistant certification from CODA-accredited program
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in dental radiography and digital imaging systems
- CPR/BLS certification and HIPAA compliance knowledge
- Strong communication skills and ability to create patient rapport
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
- Experience with Eaglesoft or dental practice management software
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
