Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following OSHA protocols
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument transfer and four-handed dentistry
- Take dental radiographs and maintain accurate patient records using our digital software
- Manage inventory and order supplies for dental materials and equipment
- Provide post-operative instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene
- Coordinate with front desk to ensure seamless patient flow and scheduling
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification in Louisiana
- Minimum 1 year experience in general dentistry setting
- Proficiency with digital imaging software (e.g., Dexis, Schick)
- Strong knowledge of infection control procedures
- Excellent communication skills and patient rapport abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- CPR certification and willingness to maintain BLS
