Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical cases
- Operate digital radiography and intraoral imaging systems
- Manage sterilization protocols and infection control procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and specialized equipment for various procedures
- Take accurate dental impressions and pour study models
- Implement patient education protocols for post-op care
- Manage digital patient records and treatment documentation
- Coordinate with lab technicians for prosthetic cases
Qualifications
- Accredited Dental Assistant program certification required
- Current DANB certification or state licensure
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification (must maintain)
- Knowledge of OSHA and dental board regulations
- Exceptional chairside assistance and patient communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple procedures simultaneously
