Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Prepare and sterilize instruments/equipment following OSHA standards
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) and impressions accurately
- Manage patient records and digital charting software
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide monitoring
- Provide post-procedure care instructions and patient education
- Oversee inventory management and supply ordering
Qualifications
- Indiana Dental Assistant license or DANB certification required
- CPR/BLS certification from Red Cross or AHA
- 2+ years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft/Dentrix practice management software
- Excellent chairside manner and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings/Saturdays
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and HIPAA compliance
- High school diploma or equivalent required
