Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist chairside during examinations, procedures, and surgeries with precision and confidence.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment to ensure a safe and sterile environment for all patients.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (Radiographs) and intraoral photographs as directed by the dentist.
- Manage patient records, including updating charts, updating insurance information, and maintaining accurate digital files.
- Greet patients warmly, manage check-in/check-out processes, and ensure a positive patient experience from arrival to departure.
- Perform impressions and fabricate temporary crowns as needed.
- Assist in teaching patients proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care instructions.
Qualifications
- Certification or Diploma in Dental Assisting (RDA or CDA preferred).
- Current California RDA license and X-ray certification (RDAs).
- CPR/BLS Certification (American Heart Association).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain procedures clearly to patients of all ages.
- Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, OpenDental).
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high attention to detail.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and have a friendly, professional demeanor.
