Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, surgical, and cosmetic treatments
- Perform chairside duties including instrument transfer, suction, and patient comfort management
- Take and develop diagnostic dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and safety protocols
- Manage sterilization processes for instruments and equipment following OSHA guidelines
- Prepare treatment rooms, materials, and dental impressions for optimal workflow
- Maintain accurate patient records and digital charting using Eaglesoft software
- Provide post-procedure instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene practices
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification from accredited program (CODA or equivalent)
- Florida radiography license and CPR certification required
- Minimum 2 years of chairside experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail in clinical settings
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to create patient rapport
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and HIPAA compliance
