Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring their dignity and comfort.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and laundry.
- Monitor client health and report any changes in physical or mental condition to the supervising nurse or case manager.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and social activities.
- Administer medication reminders and ensure proper documentation of care logs.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to clients to improve their quality of life.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for the client in their home.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) or HHA (Home Health Aide) certification is preferred but not always required for entry-level candidates.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lift and assist patients weighing up to 250 lbs.
- Candidate must pass a background check and drug screening.
