Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations, extractions, and crown placements
- Take and develop accurate dental radiographs using digital X-ray technology
- Perform sterilization protocols and maintain OSHA-compliant instrument processing
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal inventory management
- Provide chairside support and patient education on post-treatment care
- Manage digital patient records and practice management software
- Assist with infection control protocols and emergency procedures
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DA or RDA) required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography (DEXIS/Sirona preferred)
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and instrumentation
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain immediately)
- Excellent communication skills and patient rapport abilities
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environment
- Valid Kansas dental radiography permit
