Responsibilities
- Chairside assistance during dental procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Prepare and maintain sterile instruments and operatory equipment following OSHA protocols
- Take and develop diagnostic dental radiographs with digital X-ray technology
- Manage patient flow and ensure efficient clinic scheduling and coordination
- Perform infection control protocols and sterilization procedures
- Assist with patient education on oral hygiene and treatment procedures
- Maintain accurate digital patient records and dental charting
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in general dentistry
- X-ray certification with proficiency in digital radiography
- Strong knowledge of infection control and sterilization standards
- Excellent communication skills with ability to put patients at ease
- Experience with Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar dental software
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain immediately)
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
