Job Summary:
As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our patients have a comfortable and efficient experience. You will work closely with our dentists and hygienists to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Patient Care: Prepare patients for treatment, explain procedures, and ensure their comfort throughout the appointment.
- Radiography: Take and develop digital X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and adherence to safety protocols.
- Infection Control: Maintain strict sterilization and infection control standards (OSHA compliance) for all instruments and surfaces.
- Record Keeping: Accurately update patient charts, medical histories, and treatment plans in our digital practice management system.
- Front Desk Support: Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and patient check-in/check-out processes as needed.
- Supply Management: Monitor inventory levels of dental supplies and order materials to ensure smooth clinic operations.
Qualifications
- License & Certification: Current Ohio Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license or Dental Assistant with X-Ray certification.
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in a dental setting preferred, but new graduates with strong clinical skills are encouraged to apply.
- CPR Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix) is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly, patient-centric demeanor.
- Organization: Ability to multitask effectively in a busy clinical environment.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Dental Assisting program.
