Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, ordering, and stock rotation for 200+ SKUs
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians on best practices
- Operate automated dispensing systems and maintain HIPAA compliance
- Process insurance claims and manage third-party billing systems
- Conduct medication reconciliation for chronic care patients
- Collaborate with healthcare providers on patient care plans
- Maintain sterile compounding environments for IV preparations
Qualifications
- Active Texas Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 3 years hospital or retail pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong knowledge of sterile compounding protocols
- Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish (bilingual preferred)
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Proven track record in inventory management and cost control
- Strong attention to detail with zero-medication-error history
