Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Prepare and maintain sterilized instruments and treatment rooms per OSHA standards
- Take accurate dental X-rays and develop radiographs
- Manage patient scheduling and digital charting using Dentrix software
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide under dentist supervision
- Educate patients on oral hygiene protocols and post-treatment care
- Monitor inventory and order dental supplies efficiently
Qualifications
- Current RDA or DA license in California (required)
- CPR certification and X-ray radiation safety permit
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Mastery of digital imaging and practice management software
- Exceptional chairside assisting skills and infection control knowledge
- Strong interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
