Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for dental procedures and assist dentists during treatments
- Take and develop dental X-rays using digital radiography systems
- Maintain strict sterilization protocols for instruments and equipment
- Manage patient records and schedule appointments using Dentrix software
- Provide post-operative instructions and ensure patient comfort
- Order inventory and manage dental supply stockroom
- Assist with front desk duties when needed
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or x-ray license in Tennessee
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a dental office
- Proficiency in digital radiography (X-ray) techniques
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and OSHA standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with dental practice management software (Dentrix/Eaglesoft)
- CPR certification preferred
