Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Assist the dentist during examinations, treatments, and surgeries, ensuring proper instrument delivery and patient positioning.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to sterilization protocols and OSHA guidelines to maintain a safe clinical environment.
- Patient Care: Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and provide post-operative care instructions.
- Imaging: Perform and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) accurately and efficiently.
- Record Keeping: Maintain and update accurate patient records, including treatment plans and medical histories.
- Preparation: Prepare treatment rooms, select necessary instruments, and ensure all equipment is functioning correctly.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) license required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting.
- CPR Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-centric approach.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with dental software and modern dental technology.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends, as required by the practice.
