Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including oral surgeries and restorative treatments
- Take and develop precise dental radiographs using advanced digital imaging systems
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilize equipment per OSHA standards
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for optimal efficiency
- Delieve patient anxiety through clear communication and compassionate chairside support
- Maintain accurate digital records and inventory management systems
- Train new staff members on clinical workflows and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Active DANB certification or state Dental Assistant license
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography (X-rays) and Eaglesoft/Dentrix software
- CPR/BLS certification from accredited provider
- Excellent manual dexterity for instrument handling and 4-handed dentistry
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Ability to multitask in high-volume practice environment
- Spanish language proficiency preferred
