Responsibilities
- Chairside assistance during dental procedures including restorative, endodontic, and oral surgery
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following OSHA protocols
- Take accurate dental radiographs (X-rays) and digital impressions
- Manage patient charts and electronic health records (EHR)
- Assist in treatment planning coordination and insurance verification
- Maintain sterile operatory and inventory management
- Provide post-operative care instructions and patient education
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state-issued)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers)
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and commitment to patient comfort
