Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument preparation, suction, and patient positioning
- Take and develop dental X-rays using digital radiography systems
- Perform infection control and sterilization of instruments and equipment
- Manage patient records using Eaglesoft practice management software
- Prepare treatment rooms and materials for patient visits
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education
- Coordinate scheduling and inventory management
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or RDA required
- Valid Louisiana dental radiography certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft or similar practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification (current)
- Strong communication skills and customer service focus
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of OSHA and dental board regulations
