Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including restorations, extractions, and crown preps
- Perform chairside duties: suctioning, instrument transfer, and patient positioning
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with proper safety protocols
- Manage infection control and sterilization of instruments and equipment
- Prepare treatment rooms and materials for patient procedures
- Update patient charts and maintain accurate digital records
- Provide post-operative instructions and compassionate patient education
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state-issued)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in dental radiography and infection control procedures
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and instruments
- CPR/BLS certification (must be current)
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills with patients and team members
- Experience with Eaglesoft or DentalEZ software preferred
