Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, orthodontic, and surgical treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with advanced digital imaging technology
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilize dental instruments per OSHA standards
- Prepare treatment rooms, equipment, and materials for patient procedures
- Deliver patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Maintain accurate digital dental records and charting documentation
- Coordinate scheduling and ensure seamless patient flow throughout the day
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or license in Kansas
- Minimum 2 years of clinical dental assisting experience
- Proficiency in digital radiography (Dexis, Sirona) practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Strong knowledge of infection control and sterilization procedures
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with precision
