Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, surgical, and cosmetic treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain strict OSHA compliance
- Take and develop dental radiographs with precision and care
- Manage patient records using digital systems like Dentrix Eaglesoft
- Provide chairside assistance and patient education on oral hygiene
- Coordinate treatment schedules and inventory management for dental supplies
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or DANB certification required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a busy dental practice
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and HIPAA compliance
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
