Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for treatments and assist dentists during procedures
- Take and develop dental X-rays and perform sterilization protocols
- Manage patient records and schedule appointments efficiently
- Assist with dental equipment maintenance and inventory management
- Provide chairside support during complex procedures
- Deliver post-operative care instructions to patients
- Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant workspace
Qualifications
- Valid Dental Assistant certification and NY state license
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a dental practice
- Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- CPR certification and knowledge of HIPAA compliance
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Experience with digital radiography and intraoral cameras
