Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Perform dental radiography (X-rays) and ensure diagnostic image quality
- Manage sterilization protocols and infection control procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials efficiently
- Delieve patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Maintain accurate digital patient records using Dentrix/Eaglesoft
- Coordinate patient flow and optimize appointment schedules
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state-equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in dental radiography and infection control protocols
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
