Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument preparation, suction, and patient monitoring
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and care
- Perform infection control and sterilization protocols using OSHA standards
- Manage patient scheduling, charting, and digital record updates
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for optimal efficiency
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of dental supplies
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or X-ray license (California)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical dental assisting experience
- Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix)
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Positive attitude and commitment to patient comfort
