Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument prep, suction, and patient monitoring
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and care
- Manage sterilization protocols and maintain OSHA compliance standards
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal inventory of dental supplies
- Deliver exceptional patient education on oral hygiene and post-procedure care
- Manage digital patient records and assist with practice management software
- Coordinate scheduling and follow-up communications with patients
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DANB or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a dental practice
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain immediately)
- Excellent communication skills with ability to put patients at ease
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Valid Missouri dental assisting permit (if applicable)
