Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and exam rooms for dental procedures
- Assist dentists during treatments (four-handed dentistry)
- Take and develop dental X-rays
- Manage sterilization and infection control protocols
- Perform chairside assistance and equipment maintenance
- Update patient records using practice management software
- Coordinate appointment scheduling and inventory management
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or X-ray licensed in Texas
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in general dentistry
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA compliance
- Excellent communication and chairside manner
- Experience with Eaglesoft/Dentrix software preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Valid Texas state radiology permit
