The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to support our dentists and ensure our patients have a comfortable, positive experience. You will play a crucial role in chairside assisting, patient education, and maintaining a sterile environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all instruments and materials are prepared and ready.
- Take and develop high-quality digital X-rays and intraoral images.
- Prepare treatment rooms, ensuring strict adherence to sterilization and infection control protocols.
- Manage patient records, including updating charts, insurance information, and treatment plans.
- Provide excellent patient education and chairside support to ensure a relaxing experience.
- Order and maintain dental supplies and inventory.
- Coordinate with front office staff to ensure smooth patient flow and check-ins.
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant Certification (RDA or CDA) required.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in a general dentistry setting.
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and sterilization procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients (up to 50 lbs) when necessary.
- CPR and BLS certification is mandatory.
- Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dexis) is a plus.
