Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitoring: Observe clients' physical and emotional well-being, reporting any changes or concerns to the supervising nurse immediately.
- Nutrition: Prepare nutritious meals and assist clients with feeding according to their specific dietary restrictions.
- Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping duties, such as laundry and cleaning, essential to the client's living environment.
- Mobility Support: Help clients move safely in and out of bed, chairs, and wheelchairs; assist with walking as needed.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of care provided, vital signs, and daily activities.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Certification: Current Home Health Aide (HHA) certification or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license is preferred.
- Driver's License: Valid Texas driver's license and reliable personal transportation are required.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with patients and families.
- Background: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Physical: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
