Responsibilities
- Assist the lead dentist during examinations, treatments, and procedures with precision and confidence.
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials following strict sterilization protocols.
- Take and develop digital X-rays (radiographs) and intraoral photographs.
- Manage patient records, update charts accurately, and ensure HIPAA compliance.
- Greet patients warmly, explain procedures, and provide pre-and post-operative instructions to ensure comfort.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming clinical environment at all times.
- Order and maintain dental supplies and inventory levels.
Qualifications
- Certificate or diploma from an accredited Dental Assisting program.
- CPR and BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Current state Radiology (X-ray) license preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient care.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks efficiently.
- Experience with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
