Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, surgical, and orthodontic treatments
- Take and develop high-quality dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision
- Prepare and sterilize instruments/equipment following OSHA protocols
- Manage patient flow, including intake, charting, and post-op instructions
- Operate digital imaging systems and practice management software
- Maintain immaculate operatory hygiene and inventory control
- Provide chairside support with four-handed dentistry techniques
Qualifications
- Active Texas Dental Assistant certification or RDA license
- 2+ years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with digital radiography (DEXIS/Sirona) and Eaglesoft/Dentrix
- Strong knowledge of infection control and HIPAA compliance
- CPR certification (or obtain within 30 days)
- Exceptional patient communication and chairside manner
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
