Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures with chairside assistance
- Perform dental radiography (X-rays) and maintain accurate patient records
- Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control protocols
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including oral surgery
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and order materials as needed
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Coordinate scheduling and communicate effectively with dental team
Qualifications
- Active RDA or CDA certification in California required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical dental assisting experience
- Proficiency in dental radiography (X-ray) techniques
- Strong knowledge of infection control and OSHA standards
- Excellent interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Eaglesoft or dental practice software preferred
- CPR certification current or obtainable within 30 days
