Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments using strict infection control protocols.
- Assist the lead dentist during examinations, surgeries, and cleanings with efficiency and accuracy.
- Take and develop high-quality digital X-rays (radiographs) and dental impressions.
- Greet patients, update medical histories, and verify insurance coverage.
- Educate patients on post-operative care and proper oral hygiene techniques.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the dental management system.
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and order necessary materials as needed.
Qualifications
- Current New York State Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a general dentistry or specialty practice is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm demeanor.
- Proficiency with dental software and digital radiography equipment.
