Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Assist the dentist during examinations, prophylaxis, and restorative procedures using 4-handed dentistry techniques.
- Infection Control: Strictly enforce sterilization and disinfection protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment.
- Patient Management: Greet patients warmly, update medical histories, and prepare them for procedures.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate dental records, digital charts, and X-ray documentation.
- Preparation: Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials prior to patient appointments.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients regarding post-operative care and hygiene instructions.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Pennsylvania Dental Assistant license (or eligible to obtain).
- CPR: Current BLS/CPR for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical dental assisting experience preferred; entry-level candidates with strong enthusiasm are also encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Proficient in taking impressions, pouring models, and operating digital radiography equipment.
- Interpersonal: Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor with patients of all ages.
- Organization: Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
