Responsibilities
- Chairside Assisting: Assist the dentist during examinations, procedures, and surgeries with precision and efficiency.
- Patient Care: Greet patients, prepare them for treatment, and explain procedures to ensure comfort and understanding.
- Infection Control: Maintain strict sterilization and sanitation protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
- Digital Records: Manage patient charts, update medical histories, and utilize dental software for accurate record-keeping.
- Imaging: Perform and process digital X-rays and intraoral photographs as required.
- Procedures: Take impressions for crowns and aligners and place temporary restorations.
- Front Office Support: Answer phones, schedule appointments, and process insurance claims when necessary.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; graduation from an accredited dental assisting program is preferred.
- Licensure: Current RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) license in the state of Arizona.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a general dentistry setting preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) and modern dental equipment.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification required.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and the dental team.
