Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Assist the dentist during examinations, treatments, and procedures with efficiency and a calm demeanor.
- Patient Care: Greet patients warmly, explain procedures, and ensure a positive patient experience from check-in to check-out.
- Clinical Duties: Take and develop dental X-rays (Radiographs) and intraoral photographs.
- Infection Control: Maintain strict sterilization protocols and a clean, organized clinical environment.
- Record Keeping: Update patient charts accurately and maintain inventory of dental supplies.
- Preparation: Prepare operatory rooms with instruments and materials before patient arrival.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) or RDAE (Expanded Functions) license in Texas is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a general dentistry setting.
- CPR Certification: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly with patients and team members.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is a plus.
