Job Overview

Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient appointments by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary materials.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and chair-side assistance.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) and perform intraoral imaging as directed.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, post-operative care, and preventative dental health.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and order necessary materials in a timely manner.
- Adhere to strict infection control and sterilization protocols to ensure patient and staff safety.
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license required.
- Current State X-ray license (Massachusetts) in good standing.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first approach.
- Proficiency with dental software and electronic health record systems (EHR).
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks, such as lifting patients or equipment.
