Responsibilities
- Assist the lead dentist and hygienists during examinations, procedures, and cleanings.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following strict safety protocols.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (Radiographs) as directed by the dentist.
- Manage patient intake, medical history updates, and insurance verification.
- Ensure patient comfort by explaining procedures and providing post-operative care instructions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the practice management system.
- Monitor supply levels and assist in inventory management for the clinical team.
Qualifications
- Current and active Nevada Dental Assistant License (RDA) or equivalent certification.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Experience with digital dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft or Dexis) is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of infection control standards and OSHA regulations.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, patient-centric demeanor.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or GED required.
