Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, ensuring proper instrument delivery and patient comfort.
- Patient Care: Greet patients, explain procedures, and take vital signs to ensure a positive patient experience.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including dental charts and treatment histories.
- Radiography: Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) accurately and efficiently.
- Infection Control: Adhere to strict sterilization and infection control protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment.
- Preparation: Prepare treatment rooms, equipment, and materials before patient appointments.
- Insurance Coordination: Assist with insurance verification and patient billing inquiries.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) or DA license in the state of Arizona required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a dental office setting preferred.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited dental assisting program.
- Skills: Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix) is a plus.
- CPR Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work well under pressure.
- Valid Driver's License: Required for on-site duties.
