Responsibilities
- Assess patient conditions using systematic triage protocols to prioritize emergency cases
- Collaborate with physicians and ER staff to coordinate patient flow and resource allocation
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Provide compassionate patient education and emotional support during high-stress situations
- Oversee patient waiting areas and communicate wait times to families
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and hospital safety standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Georgia (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years ER or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Exceptional communication and de-escalation abilities
- Experience with Epic EMR systems preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts in fast-paced environments
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
