Responsibilities
- Assist with Procedures: Perform chairside assisting duties including four-handed dentistry, taking impressions, and exposing radiographs.
- Patient Management: Greet patients, prepare examination rooms, and educate them on post-operative care and oral hygiene.
- Infection Control: Maintain strict sterilization and infection control protocols to ensure a safe clinical environment.
- Record Keeping: Accurately document patient treatment plans, medical histories, and update electronic health records.
- Front Office Support: Manage appointment scheduling, answer phone inquiries, and assist with insurance verification.
- Supply Management: Monitor inventory levels of dental materials and ensure equipment is functioning correctly.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current DANB Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license in Oregon.
- Training: Graduation from an accredited Dental Assistant program.
- CPR: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting preferred.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills with a focus on patient comfort.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions precisely and maintain a high standard of accuracy.
